The Middle Ring

The Middle Ring is the second most populous of the Rings. The Middle Ring consists of everything you can think of, such as shops, restaurants, the theater, parks, and other forms of entertainment. This is the area that travelers and tourists will likely gather since this is where the safest inns and taverns are also located, but they're also a bit more expensive. Other attractions and points of interest are the churches, such as the Cathedral of Emyr, the barracks for the City Guard, the city prison, and the arena.

The Barracks and the Prison

Above ground, in the eyes of citizens, is the Barracks of the City Guard. This is where those working for the City Guard get their missions, their equipment, and their training. Those working long shifts are also provided a bed, food, and a lounge to rest in during breaks. Beneath the Barracks is the Granhaven Prison, a massive labyrinth of heavily guarded cells made of stone and dirt. When the city needs more cells, they just dig deeper and deeper to create more. There is a separate cell block for hardened criminals that is made up of stronger metals, locks, and with stronger guards.
